Warmth in the Details

Layered Luxury Whole Home Remodel

Project summary:

This full-scale remodel transformed the entire home, blending thoughtful reconfiguration with a refined, modern aesthetic.

The kitchen was fully re-envisioned as the heart of the home, with a large island, ceiling-height cabinetry, and a dedicated coffee bar. We used white oak cabinetry, bold gold hardware, and sleek modern finishes to create a welcoming and functional space. Walls were removed to improve sightlines, and natural light now flows freely throughout the main level.

Beyond the kitchen, the home received a series of updates: the laundry room was refreshed for more function, the powder bath became a striking feature with a floating vanity, and the primary suite was transformed into a serene retreat with a freestanding tub and spa-inspired shower. Every room was redesigned to elevate daily living while maintaining timeless luxury.

The path from plan to reality

kitchen remodel design rendering with large island and drink station

The Before Stage

The home had plenty of space, but it didn’t feel fully connected. The layout created visual breaks between the kitchen and living areas, and several rooms felt underused or dated. There were also lots of small details that kept the home from feeling cohesive: older lighting, mismatched hardware, and finishes that didn’t reflect how the family wanted to live. Instead of making random upgrades, we treated the remodel as a full system. Flow, function, and finish selections all had to work together.

Design & Planning Stage

This phase was all about intentional choices. We mapped out a better layout first, then built the material story around it: warm white oak cabinetry, light-stained wood flooring, and gold-toned metals that add softness without feeling flashy. We planned the kitchen as the heart of the home with an island that greets you at the entry, deep storage, and improved appliance placement. We also designed personality moments throughout the home, like the glass-walled office, the moody wet bar, and the bold powder bath, so every space felt considered, not cookie-cutter.

Finished Project

The end result feels calm, elevated, and easy to move through. Natural light travels further, sightlines are cleaner, and the main level finally functions as one connected living space. The kitchen is now a true centerpiece with ceiling-height cabinetry, an induction range, a drawer microwave, a farmhouse sink, and a coffee bar that makes mornings smoother. Upstairs, the refreshed bathrooms and bedrooms feel cleaner and brighter, and the primary suite reads like a retreat with matching floors, refined lighting, and a spa-inspired bathroom designed for everyday comfort.
