Designing Homes, Building Relationships
Your go-to team for remodeling with heart
About Ten Key Remodels
Your home should evolve with you. Whether your family is growing, your routines are changing, or your priorities look different than they did a few years ago, your space should reflect where you are and where you’re headed.
That’s exactly why we built our company around people first. Since 2012, we’ve grown into a full-service design-build team, but our core value hasn’t changed. Our roots are here in Oklahoma City, where we’ve built lasting relationships through trust, communication, and consistency. Whether your family is growing, your routines are changing, or your priorities look different than they did a few years ago, each of our projects is shaped through close collaboration between you and our in-house designers, project managers, and build teams. This integrated structure allows us to stay hands-on through every phase and maintain a high standard throughout. By staying involved at every step, we’re able to ensure the quality of the work reflects the care behind it.

Heather Lay
Creative Director
Creating has always been a central part of my life and career. I’m passionate about taking a client’s initial vision and transforming it into something refined, elevated, and often beyond what they originally imagined. There’s nothing more rewarding than delivering work that feels both unexpected and perfectly aligned. I’m fortunate to lead a talented team and foster that same mindset by encouraging strong collaboration, and a commitment to producing work that consistently exceeds expectations.
Rachael Miller
Senior Designer
Having grown up around architecture and design, this industry has always felt like home to me, and I care deeply about how a space makes people feel. I love partnering with clients to create interiors that are timeless yet lived-in – refined yet welcoming environments layered with comfort, character, and meaning that beautifully reflect their life, style, and the moments that matter most.
Kimberly Bustillo
Designer
Working with close family and friends on their homes shaped how I approach every client relationship. I’ve learned that meaningful design isn’t about trends or perfection, but about listening deeply, solving thoughtfully, and creating spaces that truly reflect the people who live in them.
Madison Peterman
Designer
Refreshing meaningful family homes while honoring the memories tied to them has brought me so much joy. Being able to preserve original character from childhood homes and thoughtfully incorporating loved ones and treasured family heirlooms into the design is a great honor.
Sarah Elliott
Designer
I love seeing ideas come to life — taking a vision from the very first idea all the way through installation and transforming it into a space that feels thoughtful, beautiful, and truly functional. Creating environments that not only look good but also support the way people live every day is what inspires me most.
Katherine Loper
Designer
There’s nothing better than watching a space transform and knowing every finish, fabric, and fixture was chosen with intention. Watching a project from concept to completion—and seeing all the details align the way you envisioned—is what makes the process so rewarding
Baile Willmon
Designer
My passion is helping clients translate their vision into reality by creating spaces that function effortlessly while reflecting who they are. The most rewarding part is watching every layer come together into a cohesive space that feels as good as it looks.
Cydney Marable
Design Intern
Our ADA-compliant, community project, directly with the family showed me how thoughtful, functional design can profoundly impact lives. Their gratitude reinforced the importance of leading with empathy and truly listening to each client’s needs.

Marissa Espinosa
Lead Superintendent
I’ve always wanted to do work that truly helps people, and seeing a client’s joy when we transformed her bathroom for her children’s needs confirmed this was my calling. That moment showed me the profound impact thoughtful design can have on people’s lives.
Levi Compton
Superintendent
Early in my career, I learned that integrity and hard work define how we handle challenges. These two values now guide everything I do in serving our clients.
Kelton Walker
Superintendent
I love working to make someone’s dream become reality. Taking the challenge to do something someone thinks might be impossible and making it come to life.
Dillon Hall
Superintendent
I’ve stepped into projects where homeowners were left frustrated by dishonest contractors who took payment and walked away unfinished. Finishing the job the right way is why integrity matters to me – it’s about restoring trust between homeowners and the construction industry as a whole.

Chris Reed
Owner, Client Connection Lead
Growing up in a single-mom household taught me the value of hard work and generosity, and it’s why I strive to pass that same sense of value on to my team and clients.
Mike Kahn
Owner
Construction has always felt like more than running a business — it's really about the people. Putting the right team together, getting everyone pointed in the same direction, and watching something get built from the ground up. Seeing a finished space and knowing how much care went into the process never gets old.
Rebecca Muller
CEO
Before leading Ten Key as CEO, I was a client myself. That firsthand experience taught me that a remodel isn’t only a financial investment – it’s an emotional experience rooted in a client’s vision for how they want to live, something I never lose sight of today.
Michelle Miller
Finance Manager
Owning retail stores taught me that clear, timely communication – especially during delays – builds trust and prevents frustration. I carry that same transparent, collaborative mindset into our internal team communication, knowing it directly drives consistent results and better client experiences.
Alexis Moss
Accountant
My first job at a plant nursery taught me the value of organization, education, and genuinely helping people find the right solution. As an accountant, I apply those same principles by creating a strong financial foundation that supports my team and empowers them to better serve our clients.
Jessica Herndon
Project Manager
My background in design taught me to approach every project like a new puzzle, a collection of ideas, hopes, and possibilities waiting to be thoughtfully pieced together. In project management, I carry that same passion forward by working alongside our designers and construction team to ensure projects run smoothly, challenges are anticipated, and the original vision is executed with clarity, care, and precision.
Abbi Thomsen
Marketing Manager
I have always loved a good story. Marketing and social media are simply creative ways to tell them. From the polished moments to the gritty behind-the-scenes details, I believe that when we share our stories, we draw a little closer to one another.
Jeni Mayfield
Procurement Manager
I'm passionate about bringing order and ease to the building process—so designers and builders can focus on creating while I make sure every detail, delivery, and dollar is handled seamlessly. I love being the steady force behind the scenes that turns big visions into beautifully executed spaces.
Cecy Cornelison
Studio Manager
I get to support a team that feels like family while helping bring our clients’ forever homes and meaningful spaces to life. From keeping the studio running smoothly to handling all the little details, I love being the studio mom and making the process seamless and stress-free! The best part? Getting to know our clients and being part of a milestone that’s truly special in their lives!
Our studio
Where the process becomes personal
Our Oklahoma City studio was created as a place where conversations lead to plans and real projects take shape. By working in-person, side by side, we’re able to turn ideas into plans that feel right on every level. It’s collaborative when it counts and always centered on the people we’re designing for. The studio reflects who we are as a team: intentional, approachable, and fully invested in the process.
