Before construction, this part of the Yinglings’ property had room to become something more. The question was not simply what could be built there; it was what kind of place would still feel meaningful once the novelty wore off. The answer became an ADU shaped around the family’s rhythm and the feeling of having somewhere special without leaving home.

Inside, moody cabinetry and maple slat details add character to the living space, while the garage was given the same level of design attention as the interiors. Outside, a firepit patio and sports court extend the experience beyond the building itself. The result is an ADU that feels fully integrated into the property and the family’s routine.

The Davis family had a porch abounding with potential, but the existing structure needed more than restoration to become truly livable. At 167 square feet, it was covered and attached to the home, but it felt tired, poorly connected to the backyard views, and too small to function as real living space.

Ten Key designed and built a fully permitted sunroom addition that replaced the old porch and created a 402-square-foot finished room. The result is a curved, cathedral-style space with a turret-style roofline, black-frame windows on three sides, black outswing French doors, and warm terracotta tile that connects the interior to the land outside.

Every so often, we come across a project that really pushes our creative boundaries and tugs at our heartstrings. Transforming a multi-purpose laundry room into a functional space for both the homeowner and her foster dogs was one of those special projects that truly resonated with our team.

The client, a dedicated foster parent to dogs, needed a space that could effortlessly serve as both a laundry room and mudroom, while also accommodating the unique needs of 4-10 foster dogs. This called for a well-organized and supportive environment that everyone could comfortably call their own.

Our client had a long list of needs for this front and back exterior refresh. Their biggest wish list item was an updated exterior stone color, but they also needed to fix cracks in the mortar, replace rotted woodwork, update windows and gutters, and weatherproof the fence.

In the laundry room, our client needed an upgraded room with more space that could handle the everyday needs of a busy family with two young children. They wanted a front-load washer and dryer with a counter on top, more shelving and cabinets, and a utility sink.

All of these necessities were captured in a completely remodeled laundry room finished with cabinets in Sherwin-Williams Salty Dog and white quartz countertops. A blend of cabinets and open shelving makes this laundry sanctuary sleek, modern, and still highly functional.
