Ten Key is stepping into an exciting new chapter as CEO Rebecca Muller becomes an owner and helps guide the company’s next season of growth.

Long before this announcement, our team was already doing the kind of remodeling work that makes homes feel more capable and better suited to the people living in them. Across the Oklahoma City metro, we’ve earned trust through careful design-build planning, skilled craftsmanship, a modified fixed-cost model that gives clients real price security, and a remodeling experience designed to keep them informed, supported, and involved from the first conversation onward.

Rebecca’s story with us began in the most fitting way: at home. Before stepping into ownership, she worked with us as a client during her family’s attic-to-second-story renovation. That experience gave her a close look at Ten Key’s craftsmanship, but it also sparked a bigger vision for what the remodeling process could become. With more than a decade of hospitality experience, Rebecca brings a hospitality-trained eye, a community-first mindset, and a client’s perspective to this next chapter.

In the conversation below, Rebecca shares what drew her to Ten Key, what this new chapter means for the team, and how she hopes to build on the company’s foundation.

What inspired you to join Ten Key Remodels and lead our team?

My inspiration came from a deeply personal experience. When my husband, Mike, and I faced the choice between leaving our beloved community or renovating our home to accommodate our growing family, I chose to invest in our existing space.

Working with Ten Key on our attic-to-second-story renovation, I witnessed their craftsmanship and client-focused care firsthand. That project gave me a client’s-eye view of the team’s work and showed me where the design-build industry still had room to grow.

Having spent more than a decade in hospitality creating unforgettable experiences, I recognized that this industry was ready for the same level of client-focused excellence I’d delivered throughout my career. When I started offering process improvements and saw how receptive the team was to a more client-focused approach, I knew Ten Key was a company I wanted to be part of.

What’s your vision for the future of Ten Key Remodels?

I envision Ten Key becoming both the gold standard and a north star for design-build renovation in the Oklahoma City market, known for exceptional craftsmanship and for delivering a concierge-level client experience that transforms how people think about home remodel.

We’ll be the company that helps clients see the untapped potential in their existing spaces, much like I learned to see in my own home. I want us to be pioneers in process efficiency and client communication, setting new benchmarks for the industry while maintaining the personalized service that makes each project feel uniquely special.

How would you describe your leadership style?

I’m collaborative and systems-minded, and I believe in empowering teams through clear communication and shared vision. Throughout my career, from opening a boutique hotel during a pandemic to managing multi-million-dollar brand launches at Choice Hotels, I’ve learned that the best results come when everyone understands both the big picture and their role in achieving it.

I lead by example and stay hands-on when needed, but I also focus on developing systems and processes that allow team members to excel independently. I’m someone who will put on a hard hat, but my real strength lies in creating frameworks that put people in the right seats, processes in their proper place, and clients at the focus of it all.

What excites you most about the remodeling and design-build industry?

What excites me most is the tangible impact we have on people’s daily lives. In hospitality, I saw how much planning, communication, and attention to detail can influence the way someone experiences a space. Here, we’re literally reshaping the spaces where families build their most important memories.

Every project is a puzzle that requires creative vision and practical problem-solving. I love helping clients see possibilities they never imagined while navigating the complex logistics of bringing those visions to life through a thoughtful, seamless design-build experience.

What values are most important to you when working with clients and team members?

Integrity, transparency, and excellence are my core values. Having managed everything from daily operations to multi-million-dollar budgets, I understand that trust is earned through consistent delivery on promises. I believe in being transparent about timelines, challenges, and costs. Clients deserve clarity, confidence, and a true sense of partnership in their renovation journey.

For team members, I value collaboration, continuous learning, and accountability. Everyone’s expertise matters, from the craftsperson installing trim to the project manager coordinating schedules. We succeed together or not at all.

What’s your vision for the future of Ten Key Remodels

What do you see as the biggest opportunities for growth in Edmond and OKC?

The Oklahoma City metro is experiencing tremendous growth, with young families and professionals choosing to invest in existing neighborhoods rather than constantly relocating.

There’s a huge opportunity to serve homeowners who, like my family, are deeply connected to their communities but need their spaces to evolve with their lives. I also see potential in the luxury remodeling market. My experience showed me there’s real demand here for high-end, personalized experiences, and remodeling is ready for that same level of care.

How do you define a successful remodeling project?

A successful project exceeds client expectations while coming in on time and on budget, but it goes deeper than that. Success means we’ve helped clients discover possibilities in their space they never knew existed, delivered craftsmanship that will stand the test of time, and created such a positive experience that they become enthusiastic advocates for our work.

It’s also about internal success. Our team should feel proud of what they’ve accomplished, and we should operate efficiently and profitably. Ultimately, success is when clients feel like we’ve helped them invest wisely in their most important space, their home, and feel confident in that investment from start to finish.

What’s one lesson you’ve learned in your career that you’ll bring to Ten Key?

The most valuable lesson I’ve learned is that exceptional customer experience isn’t just about the final product. It’s about every single touchpoint along the way.

In hospitality, we earned recognition not only for beautiful spaces, but for the care and attention behind every part of the guest experience. In the construction industry, that means clear communication, proactive problem-solving, protecting clients’ homes and daily routines, and ensuring they feel heard and valued throughout the process.

The technical work might be what we’re hired for, but the experience is what clients remember and recommend us for.

Outside of work, what are some things you enjoy doing or are passionate about?

I’m passionate about community involvement and serving on boards for industry associations because I believe in giving back to the industries that have shaped my career.

My family is everything to me, and I love that our remodel taught us to see our home as a canvas for our life together. I enjoy exploring Oklahoma City’s growing food and culture scene, and I’m always looking for ways to support local businesses.

I also love when work and life overlap in meaningful ways. As a member of Rose Creek Country Club, I’ve been able to watch the Fox Valley Pub transform from the inside out, a Ten Key project that reflects the kind of thoughtful, experience-driven spaces I believe in.

What’s one thing you’d like our clients and community to know about you as you step into this role?

I want them to know that I’ve been in their shoes. I’ve experienced the vulnerability of trusting someone with your most important investment, your home. I understand the balance between wanting to dream big and needing to be practical about budgets and timelines.

My entire career has been built on the principle that exceptional service isn’t just a nice-to-have. It’s the foundation of everything we do.

When clients choose Ten Key, they’re not just getting a contractor. They’re getting a partner who will treat their project with the same care and attention I experienced in my own home remodel. I’m here because I believe in the transformative power of a thoughtful and seamless design-build experience, and I’m committed to ensuring every client feels that same confidence in their investment that I felt in mine.

What inspired you to join Ten Key Remodels and lead our team

How can Ten Key help you move forward with your next remodel?

Rebecca’s perspective makes it clear that Ten Key is moving into the future with real momentum, but not at the expense of what has always mattered. Craftsmanship, integrity, thoughtful design, and respect for the client experience remain at the center of our company’s work. With Rebecca stepping into ownership, those values are gaining a sharper focus on service, systems, communication, and the confidence clients should feel throughout the process.

For homeowners in Edmond, Nichols Hills, Oklahoma City, and nearby communities, we help bring more purpose and possibility to the homes they already value through whole-home remodels, home additions, kitchen renovations, attic conversions, and other design-build improvements.

Beyond residential projects, we also help businesses rethink spaces that no longer fit their work. Through commercial remodeling, we guide business owners through the right considerations, improve how the space supports the company, and create a commercial environment that can adapt as the business evolves.

This next chapter feels bright because it builds forward instead of starting over. Rebecca brings a client’s perspective, a hospitality-trained eye, and a deep belief that renovation should feel as considered as the finished space itself.

If your space has more potential than it currently shows, we’re ready to help bring it forward. Contact us today to start planning your next renovation!
